Hey! I’m Tia!

I am an experienced and passionate educator with a love for all things math and science. I was born and raised in Iran, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Statistics and my Master of Science in Planning and Transportation Engineering. I discovered my passion for teaching early on and spent many years helping my friends and fellow students succeed in their studies.

After completing my degree, I was awarded an academic scholarship to become a university instructor and taught at Tehran Azad University for 10 amazing years.

I MOVED TO CANADA IN 2001, and because it was important for me to get familiar with the Canadian Culture and Education System, I started as a Teacher Aid Volunteer at Lucas Adult Learning Center, in North Vancouver School District for one year.

In 2001, I took the plunge and moved to Canada, where I spent some time getting to know the Canadian culture and education system. I worked as a teacher aid volunteer at Lucas Adult Learning Center and as a math instructor at Sylvan Learning Center before starting my own private tutoring business. Since then, I have had the pleasure of working with countless students at both the high school and university levels, helping them master subjects like math, physics, calculus, and statistics.

In addition to tutoring, I have also had the opportunity to assist clients with their projects and research, using statistical methods and models to analyze data and find insights. I believe that education should be fun and engaging, and I strive to make every lesson an exciting and rewarding experience for my students. Whether you’re just starting out on your academic journey or looking to take your skills to the next level, I am here to help you succeed!”
